They recharge the batteries in five minutes

An Israeli start-up has produced batteries for electric cars that recharge much faster than those previously operating on the market. The solution will significantly increase the range of electricians.

StoreDot says it, along with its manufacturing partner Eve Energy, has produced fast-charging batteries for electric cars.

The company hopes that if the breakthrough technology is widely deployed, it can play a key role in solving electric car drivers' problems with range. The fear of running out of battery while traveling or the need for long recharging at gas stations would be solved and electrics could become more popular.

StoreDot replaced the graphite in the anode of the cells with metalloidal nanoparticles, which significantly increased the possibility of recycling batteries after their operation. According to the start-up, the batteries meet the UN safety regulations for transport and do not require special equipment or production facilities for production.

StoreDot, whose strategic investors are German car giant Daimler, energy giant BP and Samsung Ventures, says it has already demonstrated the use of its extremely fast-charging batteries in two-wheeled scooters and commercial drones.
